Delhi police registered a case against Twitter India over child abuse.

On Tuesday, the Delhi police filed a first information report in association with the child abuse and pornography Involving children that were circulated on the microblogging site Twitter.

On being asked, the Twitter spokesperson asserted that the platform has a zero-tolerance policy regarding CSE. He further added that they have been trying their best to tackle the affair linked with child abuse and exploitation. They assured that the removal of content that goes against the basic rule and command of Twitter will effectively take place.

The national commission for protection of child rights (NCPCR) brought the issue to the limelight after which the Delhi police lodged a file against Twitter.

The NCPCR expressed their disappointment against the Cyber cell as there was no action taken against twitter even though the complaint was filed by Delhi police dated 29th May.

The case has been recorded under the clause of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), IT act and protection of children from sexual offence (POCSO).

On the letter that dates 29th May, the NCPCR has registered that they found “the toolkit for deep and dark web”, was present on Twitter.
